Hard Drive Destruction in Bakersfield: How Alianza Destroys Drives
Deleting files or reformatting a computer doesn't remove the data from its hard drive. When a business or household retires computers, servers, or other data-bearing devices, the drives inside need to be destroyed before the equipment is recycled.
How Alianza Destroys Hard Drives
Alianza Recycling & Recovery uses physical destruction. We drill hard drives so they can no longer be read, then send the destroyed material on for responsible recycling.
Every job includes:
- Hard drive drilling to physically destroy the drive
- Chain-of-custody handling from receipt to destruction
- A certificate of destruction for your records
- Responsible recycling of the destroyed material
Alianza does not offer data wiping or hard drive shredding at this time. If your policy requires one of those specific methods, check with your compliance team before scheduling.
Who Needs It
Any organization that stores personal, financial, health, or proprietary information on its computers should plan for drive destruction when equipment is retired. That includes:
- Businesses and offices
- Government agencies and municipalities
- Schools and districts
- Medical offices and healthcare facilities
- Banks and financial services firms
Residents can also bring old computers and drives to our facility.
